Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2012 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Long Prairie for Elaine M. Crider, age 79, of Long Prairie, who passed away on Wednesday at Long Prairie Centracare Health System. Rev. Richard Walz will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Stein Chapel in Long Prairie and also one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday. The Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. and Parish Prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday evening.

Elaine was born on July 13, 1933 in Long Prairie to Theodore and Mildred (Barthel) Loken. on February 25, 1952, she was united in marriage to Merwin “Muggs” Crider. Elaine was a caretaker at Meridian Services for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and was involved in Christian Mothers. Elaine enjoyed playing cards and dice, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was an excellent baker and cook. She always made sure everyone had enough to eat and felt welcome in her home.

Survivors include her son and daughters, Bruce (Sheri) of Long Prairie, Nancy (Craig) Williams of Long Prairie and Jacqueline Duckson of Melbourne, AR; brother, Alan (Mary) Loken of Long Prairie; grandchildren, Dustin (Emma), Chad (Jessie), Cory, Christy (Tony) Bearson, Shane and Ashley; great grandchildren, Adam, Megan, Logan, Caylee, Christian, Toni, Ethan, Gracie, Justin and Clayton; and close friends, Darla Wilson, Buzz and Ann Hanson and Becky Crider. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Merwin “Muggs” in 1991.

Pallbearers will be Elaine’s six grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Elaine’s great grandchildren.
